Born in 1975 in Ankara, Özel Oytun Türkoğlu studied Physics at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Middle East Technical University.
Türkoğlu, who started his business life with the IT sector, provided strategy, marketing, technology and management consultancy services to local, national and international brands, especially oil and natural gas companies.
Türkoğlu gives speeches at universities, NGOs, institutions and companies on branding, marketing, digital world and communication. At these events, he spoke to more than 150,000 people at more than 350 events in more than 60 cities.
In 2013, he established the Markör Branding Agency, a first in Turkey with the concept of branding agency. He provided consultancy services on branding and marketing to many brands, institutions and companies.
He gives various trainings on motivation, crisis management, creative thinking, understanding and influencing people, especially brand and marketing. Türkoğlu also offers workshops on Sell Yourself, Create Your Own Brand and Speaking, and organizes various events such as coffee talks and book signings.
He supports start-ups, entrepreneurs and innovative business ideas as a speaker, mentor and jury member for the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. He participates in trainings and events in various entrepreneurship and innovation centers as a speaker, jury member and mentor.
He has articles on various media, mainly on professional topics. He is the author of “Sell Yourself – The Book of Personal Branding and Marketing”. In 2013, he was awarded the “Entrepreneur of the Year who uses social media best” by Anadolu University Faculty of Communication. Türkoğlu is married and the father of Pera Türkoğlu.
